Here is an idea that I hope is new to you and helpful. Take a rotten log. The bigger the hole in the middle the better. Staple or hot glue green felt on the side you want to be the back. glue dried flowers, plastic animals, twigs, etc. in the hole and along the rim. Keep the bark intact if you can. Add a hanger on the back and you have a nature plaque that is quite good looking. Simple, inexpensive and your imagination can go wild.
