[Spirit Rider]

All, Our first bike rodeo turned out great. The weather was great but hot at 80 degress. We had 11 boys and four leaders. We had one Straight Arrow. Five Buckaroos and Five Pioneers. We had several races  they were: Barrel race: The boys ran a clover pattern. Fast time wins Pole Bending: The boys had to race to the end. Turn weave in and out of the cones. Turn again weave in and out and then race home. Fast time wins. One barrel race: Boys race around one cone and return home. Fast time wins. Old Clothes Race: Boys race to cone.  Put on two items of clothing return home. Fast time wins. Slow Race: A cone is placed about 10-15 feet from the start. The boy has to go as slow as he can. Should the boy touch the ground he gets another try. Key hole race: Form a key hole useing cones Boys race in make a tight turn and race for home. Fast time wins. I'll post who won each race with time on Wednesday. We also had a drawing for a scoter which was won by Jabco Stinburger. A Buckaroo.   Later, Noel "Spirit Rider" Bell
