Just wanted to give God the Glory.
Sunday morning I asked pastor if I could get up with the outpost in class
B uniforms and put out a plea for some help and fiances. I explained it
was summer months and the colleges had let out and we were down some
staff. I also talked about Pow Wow and the souls saved there and how our
outpost had adopted being a major part in construction of the fasiods for
the Pow Wows. The Pow Wow drama team commander has spoken for the past
few years of making up some 4'x8' panels that we would store and have
ready for the Pow Wow as most pageants are made out of these building
blocks. I explained we have for many years now went down and spent a
weekend building these panels out of ole junk lumber and borrowed
materials. Then after each Pageant around 1:30 in the morning we take it
all down and disassemble it down to the stud. Sometimes it 3:00 am
before I drag back to camp. (This is a straw that breaks the camels back
for me) especially after the normal 3 days of Pow Wow Activities and no
sleep. So I explained it would be a blessings if we as a church could
each one do what they could to help out this year. I also had a Straight
Arrow recite the RR pledge. Then do it really fast. Then we invited
the church to come to the fund raiser tonight. I also said if anyone
couldn't make it tonight please stop by and drop in a gift. I asked the
Church to give our Outpost a round of applause and then told the Church
this is for them and all they had done for the RR's. We applauded them.
We had a fund raiser Sunday night. Baked Potato feed, chili, ice cream,
homemade root beer and the trimmings and ......................raised
920.00 dollars that I know about. God is good. All the time!
Last night I had 40 men and boys making Paper Mac he projects for Pow
Wow. What a mess! What fun! What work! All for the Glory of God and
soul winning!
