There's a trend on Rangernet and in the USA to
follow the leader to nowhere. No-where is not the "wilderness"
that Pioneers found, and built their homes,farms and rances..
because No-where leads to no-thing.
John McCain is the son and grandson of American warriors,
and followed his heritage into military service. Mc Cain
became a pilot in the US Navy, survived a fire and returned
to duty to be shot down over Hanoi,Vietnam.
He broke his leg and shoulder at ejection, and landed in a lake
where now a Vietnamese war memorial stands to those that shot
him out of the sky!
Mc Cain was pulled out of the water and bayoneted by NVA
and dragged to the gate of the Hanoi "Hilton" where he stayed
for the next 5 1/2 years.
When his captors found out his name, they discovered that
McCain's father was the US Military chief for US Naval forces
and as a 'gesture offered medical treatment and release to
the young wounded pilot.
McCain refused release.
He said "others have been here longer.. the rules should be
First in- first out and no favors accepted from the enemy"
*The NVA began to beat him.
McCain still refused release to freedom.
*All this happened in the life
of Royal Rangers! At this same time in 1968 a
Royal Ranger joined the US Marines and was sent
orders to Vietnam. He didn't come from a christian
home because he was of Jewish heritage, and he
didn't attend our church!
Mitch Silvers wanted to make sure he was right
with God and hunted up his Royal Ranger Commander!
Cdr. did PFC Mitchell Silvers right, and the young
man left for war. Jan 25th was the day a firelight
with NVA elements took the life of that Royal Ranger!
John McCain spent the next 5 1/2 years "keeping the faith"
with the 500 US POW's until release in 1973. Following
return, McCain entered medical therapy and returned to flight
status and command of a air unit, then advanced to being
the naval aid to the US Senate. He ran for congress from
his adopted state of Arizona and was encouraged to run for the
senate by outgoing AZ senator Barry Goldwater.
Barry Goldwater ran for US President in 1964 against Lyndon
Johnson who needlessly prolonged the war in Vietnam to a
stalemate. Goldwater was portrayed as an "extremist" for
his conservative views, but the election of Pres. Ronald Reagan
who shared many of the same convictions brought to an end to
the Cold War.
McCain is part of that "Heritage" and ran for president
this last year and won the New Hampshire primary with a message
about restoring American control to the people by tying
the hands of 'special Interest Moines that steal the abilities
of politicians to work un-hindered for the betterment of
the citizenship.
A brutal propaganda campaign was brought against McCain, and
his record was slandered, misquoted and his integrity questioned
in a So.Carolina primary where GW Bush prevailed. *Millions
were spent needlessly to overwhelm the media with dis-information.
*Through it all.. John McCain retained his message that there
is an "Iron Triangle" of special interest that is stealing our
government away from the very people it formerly intended to serve.
*I believe the Moines of special interest and influence resulted
in the wrong man being selected to run against Al Gore and a
corrupt Clinton administration. That's my opinion, your's may
be different! Toot!Toot!
Today the President is named GW Bush. *Hooray!
McCain in the senate follows through on his word.
Without waiting, he said the time was ripe for action and
the game of national politics would steal away the motivation
for proper action if not worked out NOW!
US Politicians followed his LEAD!
Leadership isn't some big-shot telling you to to act right or
he'll order you to sit in a chair or do the dead cockroach..
Leadership isn't smoozeing with adults pretending to care
what boys think, and then doing whatever they dream up.
Leadership isn't found in fulfilling the desires of some
National personality. leadership is not becoming a "man
to be delt with" or a tyrant. Leadership embraces reason and
the truth.
BTW! The NRRC has not allowed any rememberence of Royal Ranger
Mitchell Silvers to be brought as a agenda item for three years..
Leadership also is not found in giveing in to corruption
or manipulation of "some truth"... but invests
in the *Truth tested from all directions!
Leadership means *joining with your group in the integrity
of each others membership to raise the standard, to build
MORALE by following through on a promise.
Morale.. is based on the belief of the follower in the Leader,
of the Leader in the follower of each in themselves and both
in the cause...
