Just to let everyone know, I along with 684 other volunteers helped out at
Convoy of Hope this past weekend. What a blessing. We had 3565 guests, 83
churches (I don't know how many different denominations) working together in
partnership and most importantly, we 465 souls from the enemy's camp!!!!
I took three friends who never participated before and they were just
wrecked. Said they would be back for the next one.
We had nine services for the guests.
God is so exacting in what he does. I only prayed with two guests for
salvation, the other guests I prayed with were Christians, but under attack.
And the attacks they were under were attacks that I specifically have dealt
with and overcome ( through God's grace) in my life.
I had a couple come for prayer over marital problems-tears streaming down
their cheeks, one mother with an 11 year old with attitude problems (I just
gave my son [11 next month] the attitude lecture the week before), must have
been practice. There was even a volunteer before the convoy started God put
me with who kept crying, "I don't know what the Lord's trying to do" so we
prayed. Then she started laughing! The crying again...husband is addicted
to prescription drugs, stayed in RV cause he was afraid someone would grab
him and pray for him-so we grabbed his spirit and prayed for him! Ha ha he
was right someone did grab him and pray for him !
Not time for me to write about all the encounters, but please remember this
if you ever have a chance to volunteer at a Convoy of Hope...you will never
ever forget it!
Not only that rewards come quick...there were four of us from our church
volunteering on Saturday, the next day we had both our a.m. and p.m.
services taken over by the holy spirit! Pastor never got to preach. All of
in the servants ministry were slain...oops "who's watching out for pastor?"
Almost everyone in the sanctuary was slain, one sister fell out during
praise and worship. One lady was dancing (hard) on a broken toe! Bunch of
visitors too!
I believe that four women went out to serve the city Pastor has claimed and
God honored it in the service immediately. I say that with all humbleness
and give God the glory for it.
Oh, I almost forgot the groceries, there were so many groceries donated that
there was enough for every volunteer to take home two bags (mine are for the
praise pantry) at the end.
Sorry so long, but if you only knew, you'd say sorry so short!
