The drill sargent was Matt Etheridge.  Paul and Beth Etheridge's son.  10 years ago he was just a pioneer now look at him!

I did want to say we had a great turnout.  Tearing down the pagent backdrop and props only took till 11:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday nights it was a record!  One year it was 3:00 am.  We had 34 at our outpost and also won a 1st place rocket ribbon and 2 first place event prizes and a 1st place in camping as well as a 1st place in costume and something we have never done before.... a drum roll please!!!!  3rd place overall trophy!  It has taken a lot of extra work to get that feller but it has all been worth it.   We had 3 boys saved and another 5 at the altar Praise the Lord!  I was able to lead 2 of them myself.  What a priviledge!  God is good all the time!

One thing I was disapointed.  They aquired my canon for Royal Patrol to shoot off at wakeup, lunch and Pagent time!  I sure missed firing that thing off down in camp.  That percussion blast ... I miss it!

Booooooom!!!!

Pow Wow was great.
We had 860 total and 24 within my own outpost.
The plays was good on both nights. I liked Saturday night the best. On Friday night we had 70 + saved and many more went forwad Saturday.
My outpost took 1st place in the model rocket launch.
I was allowed to launch our rocket three times.
All the launches went perfect with the last being the best.
I used C6-5 engines on all the flights. Seeing the first few crash made me uneasy at frist. ;-)
We also took 6th place on the campsite inspection.
I think Paul played a good honest Abe & news reporter.
Did anyone happen to get any video of pow wow?
Also who played the drill sergent on Friday night?

Later,
