*Howdy to all follwer'n the doctrinal string.

If you can't tell.. you may assume that the
preaching we sit under as RR leaders has a
wide range of flavor<G> We as lay leaders are
asked to work with boys in Religious instruction
as well as Character development.

It's my opinion that we should show some matter
of *respect for the boys discovering truth at
their pace by asking them reflective questions.

I beleve it proper to allow the Testimony of
any Ranger belever to be shared openly without
the hinderence of criticizum or domination of
another. I understand that this may give us 'cause
to bite our thoung, or issue an Amen!..

With reguard to the boys, the LTC advises us to
listen without judgement in Counciling, and not
react in emotion.. But *respond in kindness.

This act will encourage the meek to grow in grace.

Many times.. when presented with the chance to "work
with boys" Men will reach out to tie the knot, finnish
the cut with the axe or set the nail for the boy..

Men who are not in tune with the suttle nature of
how boys learn, may announce this is "their way"
of Teaching. You may recall the phrase's:

"My way or the Hyway" or "God said it,that settles it"
"Here let me show you" and "I told you!
Blah-blah-blah"

I'm proposeing that to deepen the significance of
religious instruction... We wait on the boys to
*reflect and share where they are at.. *then LEAD
on to the next step and LEAVE the final result in
the hands of the Holy Spirit! Trust him!

Our framework is the progression of the boy from
recruit to GMA in systematic steps up the trail
to arrive at a "understanding" or set of ethical
convictions. We do NOT "presribe a exact faith"
but "Trust with faith beleveing as free moral agents"

In harmony with wise spiritual council..
We also promote the Mental, and Social awareness
for a whole boy or "Total Boy for Christ"

Leadership can be guideing others to a result such
as salvation, but I am clear that it is the individual
decision of that soul and not my efforts or
'contriveance that matters to the Lord. If I matter
little to the process, I do not need to dominate.

I live next to a River that has carved a deep gorge
threw solid rock. The water in this river simply
seek's the path of least resitance to grind away at
the riverbed. The flow of the river moves gravel,
and sediment along.. and over the course of time..
Change occures. The river is never done with it's
work. The river brings life and causes change, but
allways obeys the Laws of God and seek's the lowest
place to do his work.
