Using the GPH catalog as a reference isn't quite what I meant by
"support". GPH is a profit center aimed at making money to support the
National Office.... nothing more. If they have inventory, the need to
move it off the shelves. They do that by selling it.

What is it you meant by "glorified pastors".... sounds pretty
inflammatory.

Any tool, at the expense of proper examples... I'm not so sure I agree
with that.

I could offer drugs as a method of attracting boys... and I'm certain it
would work... except to ruin lives and land me in jail.

All,

If it were not supported by National office, there would be no patches
to order in the catalog. Johnnie Barnes supported the program, which I
believe was initiated at Evangel College; maybe by his son David?? Many
glorified pastors and saints said the same things about the larger
fraternity, which has taken decades to find its true mission as
pathfinders.

Any tool which can draw in the boy is of great value. Regardless of the
boy's age. There is so little in Rangers to compete with the world,
etc., for the 16 to 25 year old boy, anything that retains the boy is of
great value. Until such time as he can be accepted as an adult leader,
if ever.
