Perhaps it’s time for a repost of RangerNettiquitte

I guess it had to happen some time in life, but never have I been personally attacked as I have been today by folks who are supposed to be on the same team.  The team that is commissioned to reach, teach and keep boys for Christ…  My salvation and even my humanity was questioned by some folks responding to my posts.  It’s shameful to say the least.

It’s been said that Christians are the only army that shoots their own wounded, but it went beyond even that today… it was believers who fired the wounding shots.

The subject matter related to organization issues, policies of the National Office and personal views of said issues.  We’re all entitled to our views and opinions, even if such views and opinions vary among the brethren.

Discussions are healthy, even when disagreements are the end product… but when those discussions digress into personal attacks, the line of appropriate Rangernet behavior has been crossed.

Again, we were NOT talking about doctrinal matters here, we were merely talking organizational structure and policy issues in regards to what should and should not be a focus in the Ranger charter at this present time … TODAY.  I can appreciate the fact that some folks feel strongly about the issue, but some times, emotions need to be left on the shelf so they don’t cloud the issue being discussed.

It’s shameful to see the harassment of some folks who decided they needed to attack me personally because of my views and opinions on this matter.

I’ve been told today to read my Bible and confess my sins and realize the error of my sinful arrogance…  I didn’t realize that pointing kids to Christ was considered arrogance. but just in case you’re worried about such things, I do read and pray daily, as we all should.

Blessings,

Parson.
