Well, it was a sad day today… we had a death in the
family. Our ‘yard maintenance man’, ‘Zeke’,
has been in really poor health lately, and today he was in so much pain and
suffering, I had to get the old shotgun out and end his suffering. I was really attached to Zeke, and it was
hard to put him down, but I just couldn’t bear to let him suffer any
longer. He’s been with us
since he was just a baby. He was
almost 2 years old. His brother “Levi” died last year of multiple bee
stings while I was at District PowWow. (He tried to eat a bee’s nest and
the bee’s didn’t appreciate him eating
them out of house and home). Zeke
& Levi are now buried side by side in the back yard (woods). Zeke did a great job keeping the weeds down all around our
little forest, and the neighbors always stopped to watch him work when he was
out front ‘weeding’ the ‘fertilizing’ the front woods. Parson. PS: In case you
didn’t figure it out, Zeke & Levi were our family goats… |
