The LTC that I went through and the many that I have help teach, plus those
that I send men to are nothing more than training and learning. Yes, there
is a lot to do for anyone who has been out of school for a few years and not
used to the discipline needed. When I went through it in 1993 I got two
sections behind in the homework. But since I was to become the Sr Commander
and it was me who persuaded our church to start RR I couldn't quit. I just
left the TV off for several evenings and got caught up.
To finish just takes work. I personally see that as a good thing because
if a new commander shys away from work perhaps they should find some other
ministry. Royal Rangers done right takes a lot of time and work. But after
8 years doing Rangers I wouldn't trade it for anything else. The rewards are
out of this world. To the sister concerned, if you are willing to invest the
time and effort you will do just fine.
