This is good news. Our pastor's first wife was a Jezebel. She was in
adultery, flagrantly. Pastor was at the time, pastoring within the Church of
God and he knew he wasn't destined to walk alone yet in order to preach he
had to leave his fellowship. He has hence remarried and I must say Lady
Lauren is a lovely Godly woman. The new resolution would still preclude him
(if he were AG) as he was saved and pastoring. I wonder how his situation
would go over.

Subject: [RR] A/G History made today

The Assemblies of God made history today by passing resolution number 15
that will allow those who have been divorced and remarried prior to
salvation to seek ministerial credentials. I believe this is according to
the will of God, since the woman at the well, (who had been married and
divorced five times) just after her conversion, became a flaming evangelist-

leading much of her community to the Lord. Our own district broke new ground

last year by allowing a previously divorced man to run for an elected
district Royal Ranger executive staff position. He won, placing him on the
NRRC. This move will now allow many who are callled by god to preach to do
so without having to leave our fellowship. The resolution passed with the
stipulation that the candidate provide evidence that the divorce was indeed
prior to conversion.
