The Wheelers took public transportation downtown
to a political rally friday. 50,000 Americans were there,
and it overwhelmed the facility.
We walked 7 blocks up and accross the Hawthorn bridge over
the Willamete river.. to get to the end of the line.
2 hours later we had only moved to the river bank..
*I go to watch US Coast Guard patrol boats zip around
for security with twin 5.56 Squad assult wepons on pintal
mounts and linked belt ammo..
I hadn't seen that for 30+ years since my ship had gone
up the Mekong delta to re-supply a Naval riverine base
for coastal division 11 and operation game warden.
50,000 people and no Royal Rangers save the "Outpost of One"
subdued..
*God bless the people of my town.. I love them!
They gave the Presidental Candidate a mighty roar!
*He said some things- ..But we knew he was just a citizen
like us and the future is in our hands to become the greatest
freedom loveing people on earth. *I myself kept thinking
about Jened's powerful criticisum and those of friends here
on rangernet.
I just don't "get the evil" if there was any..

*Then the candidate said:
"Mark my words and here me.. I will not send youngmen to War
needlessly or without a plan for success. America does not CHOOSE
to war, it only goes to War because it must!"
*How does that relate to Royal Rangers?

*The boys of my Buckaroo Outpost are all now over 18..
They were not a passing wave for me to watch go by- I was
invested with them and bound to them for a Lifetime.
My call to RR duty was by God for just a short time.. *I
didn't know that then.. but that's the way it is now.
*Send me to the endless War!
*Send me to stand watch and give my life for Country!
*Send me to the WAR ZONE.. *I know what to do
But *spare these youngmen the burden..
