I had received the welcome notices but I'm sorry, that I didn't think much about them. I just presumed it was a system glitch (hiccup) and didn't feel it necessary to bother anyone about it. I'm glad it is working and am sorry to hear that you are having problems with it. I do however have faith that these difficulties will be overcome and that this valuable ministry will continue to move forward just as it has always done.
Thank you for the follow up and remember a Royal Ranger is READY for anything and that includes overcomable computer difficulties! God's got it right where He wants it, and that's in His hands.

Did anyone notice? You should have gotten new "welcome to RangerNet"

announcements because of the move. I actually created a new list and

subscribed everyone that was subscribed to the old list to the new
one,
then destroyed the old list. The move was a little less orderly than
I
would have liked, because the hosting service (dtsinetadvantage.com)
was
complaining about majordomo hogging the CPU. They also shut down all
web
sites associated with that account, including RangerNet.org, ebt.cx,

kahunapule.org, worldenglishbible.com, worldenglishbible.net,
webible.org, hnvbible.org, mpj.us, bible.cx, womensresource.org,
etc.
(I'm shopping for a less rude hosting solution... preferably a
dedicated
server that can host all of those sites and more without causing
problems.)

For now, the RangerNet mailing list is running back on the
eBible.org
server with majordomo, again. It can't stay here indefinitely,
because
majordomo has some serious defects in a spam-infested world. Some
time
in the not-to-distant future, it will be moved to both new server
running new mailing list management software. I'm thinking that the
days
of using email-based commands to manage mailing lists are over
because
of spam. We will move to a true web-based mailing list manager, like

maybe Mailman. (The web interface that we have now at
http://rangernet.org/subscribe.htm and
http://eBible.org/subscribe.htm
actually just generates email messages to send to majordomo.)

The majordomo program is courteous. Too courteous, actually. It
always
answers email sent to it, even if that email was from a virus mail
with
a forged return address that happens to be an autoresponder. Such
emails
tend to go back and forth forever (or until the autoresponder or
majordomo shuts down).
