Good advice. I'm mentally editing and revising it a bit for my own
situation. The basic thread seems to be ingenuity. I'm pretty good at
that.
What is the stainless/aluminum bracket for?

*Cool- I'm shareing our conversation with Rangernet because
good wholesome conversation about "things" we all can relate too
can restore life, vigor to our fellowship.. *If that is what the Lord
desires.

Here's my CODE or ethic about such matters..

"Disposable Income" will never exsist nor should decision makeing revolve
around borrowing cash or "streaching" the family budjet..

*Boats.. as well as a long line of other "hobbies/toy's/passions" must
fit inside a positive view of wealth. IMHO~ "Poverty" is only the
lack of a good plan to aquire the resources to achieve success.

A Rich man can be "Poor" in spirit or mindset, and bound in chains
of his own makeing. A Man with zero cash.. can become rich very
quick with an idea or useing resources to step up to a larger bite
of life.

*Trade'n up or the art of the "deal" has allways been man's best
way to aquire wealth. You can put food on the table by working
for "the man" but 99.9% of the time you will never get "rich"
working for him.

Suggestion #1

*Build it... Build it cheap.. then upgrade-
Go to a WEB search engine and type: "Build a sailboat"

Suggestion #2

Clean up the house of un-wanted stuff, yard sale it and use
the cash as seed money on the "dream"

Suggestion #3

*There is NO shortange of boats that never see the water..
*Find a few and talk to the owner about that...<G>

Suggestion #4

*Speak out on a goal..dream/desire! *Pray about it untill
you find peace.. and then look for something to come by that
will work to move you forward on that goal..

*Here's my update about SPARTEN
--------------------------------

Cdr.Jen bucked... $5k for a derilict? NO WAY!

*Now I get to figure out what it is I LOVE about the boat..
while I may prefere SPARTEN to $5K us dollars, I understand
Cdr.Jen's concern..

On my side.. I enjoyed the boat yard and the crazy owners of other
sailboats on the "hard" in the yard.. I offered to the owner of
SPARTEN to help fabricate a small project out of aluminum or stainless
steel just to see if such work would be fun..

A small bracket or mount could be made out of scrap at no charge.

Doing the "project" grants me access to SPARTEN and the owners plans
and knoledge of the boat. *I get free education and learn more about
Sailboats for just my time invested..

SPARTEN get's a new stainless bracket.. *I get wisdom-insight..

Good Trade!

Q? am I telling the "Truth"??
Is my thinking straight?
