Been there, done that. It's fun. The original tiler for our bathroom used
some cheap and nasty glue. We had the problem of tiles falling off the
wall. So, the Larrikin, to the rescue. I stripped off all the old tiles, pulled
down the shower screen. I then put on a new new waterproof
membrane and set to work laying the new tiles.
I had some feature tiles with seahorses on them (Lindy loves
seahorses) and border tiles with a fish, seahorse and turle. I did 5 rows
of palin white tiles then the row of feature tiles. Followed by 5 rows of
more white tile, then the border tiles. It was then I noticed that the other
tiles around the bath and floor looked out of place, so down they came.
I was real Lucky (read blessed)I found a shop that had a smaller version
of the tiles I had used for the feature row in the shower. So up the went.I
then cut the borders of the border tiles and put them on top.
The only thing I didn't do myself was the painting and the new shower
screen.
Once I had finished the bathroom (and got lots of brownie pionts) I
started on my Hobby room. I choose Duck egg green (the same colour
as a British fighters' underside of WWII) for the ceiling which Lindy later
used to paint the top to the walls in the bathroom. Faded Olive drab for
the walls and earth brown for for the trim. I also put in a floatingwood
floor (it makes it easier to see the small parts that I drop on the floor)My mother
made some curtians of Cam clothe she found. Now it looks
real good.
My next trick is the lounge room.
