For me I personally believe that it's all based on one's FICO scores.  I got 
a copy of my credit record lately and decided I have more confidence in the 
Department of Motor Vehicles than I do Trans Union, Experian or Equifax. I 
personally believe that Jesus is coming back before they start handing out 
the mark.  I have a terminal located on this keyboard that is called "The 
Smart Card" terminal.  These cards have a chip and are able to store crucial 
data about one's credit history, social security number address and other 
crucial information on it.  If that card got stolen, an entire identity goes 
with it.  I think that the technology as it is right now is already capable 
of the scenario described below.  When people get the mark, it's going to be 
done because of man's inherent nature to "loose" things and this will 
prevent it from getting lost or stolen.
 I have decided that since no man knows the time date and hour when Jesus 
is coming back, there's not whole lot of point in getting worked up over it. 
God's always had it under control and my little part (being my life)  in 
this grand scenario falls in there somewhere way way below.  I'm not going 
to get worked up over it.

I think the chip, the size of a grain of rice, IS cause for concern.
Some people don't use credit cards because they are the beginning of the
one-world government and the Mark-of-the-beast.
Well, they aren't the beginning of that.  ...At least not yet.  The Word
tell us that, someday, the anti-christ will take over and use technology to
control the people who are left here.  Even if that day is not too far off,
it doesn't mean the technology is evil.  The problem will be that this evil
character will be in charge of it and will use it to own people's hearts and
minds as well as to streamline the economic system.
When "Big Brother" starts watching every move we make, throwing out the
technology won't make the leaders righteous.  Whether he reads "666" along
with a person's personal ID number off of your forehead or wrist by using a
high tech miniature sub-coetaneous data chip or by using a branding iron
makes no difference.  What will make it evil is when he demands the
recipients worship him, and not God, if they want to buy or sell anything.
Long after the Devil is thrown into the lake of fire and Christ is ruling
the earth, I think the technology will still be here and will still be used.
Its convenient.
By the way, here's something interesting...
If you look closely at a UPC bar code on any product, you will usually see
two sets of numbers at the bottom with a space in-between.  The bar code
always starts out with two skinny lines.  There are always two skinny lines
in the center and always two skinny lines at the end.  That's three sets of
skinny limes on all bar codes.  The first set of numbers has bars above it
that are the "A" code.  The second set of numbers has bars above it that are
in the "B" code.  If you see two of the same digit (two 4's or two 7's for
example) you will see two identical occurances of a pattern above them.  The
same goes for the B-code.  But, a 4 in the A-code and a 4 in the B-code will
have different bar patterns above them.
**A B-code "6" is two skinny lines.**
Some items like magazines, have only the A-code and have a shorter bar code.
They start out with two skinny lines and end up with 4 skinny lines.
Some other products have an extra set of digits at the end of the A-code and
B-code that's called the C-code. The C-code is actually a mixture of the A
and B-codes.  In that case, You'll see the sets of two skinny lines
bracketing the A and B codes and the C-code is just left hanging with no
border lines.
There's nothing evil about it.  However, the day is coming when an evil
character will run things and take control, not only of the money system,
but of the people who use it.
