It's been pretty quite around here lately.

Last Saturday we took a evaluation run on one of our Ranger Mobiles at Tri
Lakes AOG in Branson, Missouri USA and did some tests to find the best place
for a good race. WE FOUND IT! Yup it took a few 35 to 50 year old Royal
Ranger Leaders a few times down the sloping parking lot that will give us a 500
foot or more fast track.... yup it took two commanders a roll across the
asphalt to realize just how much fun a wipe out really is.... and the fun and
challenge it will bring.

The Race is scheduled for May the 7th, 2005 at Tri Lakes. We will have a
launch ramp and trophies and ribbons and a concession and more. The Boys and
Girls and Leaders and even guest will really enjoy this race. More information
can be had at the following links.

Branson is a Resort Place. If you want to make a visit and enjoy some tourism
while your at it... come on down and race with us. We will have carts to choose
from to race with so you won't have to build a rangermobile cart.

I am also updating the ROTY testing and tallying program. There is a
evaluation link on the website below. It's still a work in progress but I
think you will get the idea. Basically Ranger Kids will test just as they did
last year. Discovery and Adventure will choose 3 of 4 merits for testing along
with the other Main Testing Stations. The Expedition Rangers has given me a
challenge. The 4 groups Air, Sea, Trail and Hi Action do the Main Testing as
well as each have 3 of 4 different merits they can test from that one group has
16 merits that needs to be tracked and tallied. The main difference from last
year is we went from choosing 4 of 6 possible merits down to 3 of 4 possible
merits. Its a real challenge for me to track compile and tally and put the
right boys testing stations and the right boys on the evaluation stations lists
with the click of one button. Yup it's very very close to doing that right
now... I just have to add in the ER groups worksheets. The 2004 -2005 merits
that will be tested on are in this program but beware it's still under
development and I am sure I will need to fix some things as it has almost twice
the programming I put into it last year. My eyes are starting to cross..GRIN!

I wished you could have seen me rolling across the parking lot last Saturday...
nothing like a good ole fashion wipe out to bring one into submission...BIG
GRIN but it was even better when Commander Richard did the same thing a few
minutes later...EVEN BIGGER GRIN!

LTA campout in 2 weeks...I AM READY FOR A CAMPOUT! Praise the lord!
