Here in the States, there is a legal way you can do this but you have to 
have a special line set up. Other than that for us American Folk there is 
the Federal "Do Not Call" Registry"  found at this link : 
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
The site is pretty self explanatory.  I recently slammed MCI very hard for 
the nonsense they were pulling through using this site. With the advent of 
caller ID and Google, I Google the phone number and Identify the caller I 
then file a complaint everytime they call and include times and the number 
that appears.

Let tham go through  their speal then tell them that you charge $20 per
hour to listen to any Telemarketers.
It will take about 0.5 seconds before they they hang up.
