ROYAL RANGERS REPORT!!!!

Happy Mothers Day!! Moms!!!

Ranger Mobile Report! 05-07-2005
We had an better than predicted showing at our Ranger Mobile Race at TriLakes
AG in Branson, Missouri. The weather was perfect with sun and clouds and a
nice breeze. The setting was a 500 foot huge parking lot on a slight incline
with a 5 foot high 20 foot long launch gate.

This is was the first time we raced on a incline so we had some lessons to
learn. Of the 170 cars down the track we had 5 Royal Rangers who added their
skin to the asphalt of TriLakes with a Total Car Flip. We had several first
aid assists and one of our Commanders flipped his car and got the title "Crash"
and banged his elbow pretty good. He was treated on the spot with a arm sling
and latter went to the Hospital for x-rays and pain killer. He is in good
humor and I spoke with "Crash" this morning. We talked about making the race
even better by adding mandatory...long pants and shirt, full face helmet,
elbow pads and knee pads. Even with his arm in a sling he was very positive
about the race and is looking forward to next years race.

Here are some stats on the Race and wanted to say thank you to the many ...many
.. many of you that got this thing up and running. It takes each of doing what
we can do to put together a safe- fun-challenging race. The boys enjoyed
building the Ranger Mobiles and then facing the challenge of the launch gate
and track. The 20 plus staff thank you so very much for your part in making
this race possible.

A special thanks to Richard Michaels and his ranger family and to Tri Lakes for
hosting the event. Pastor Chip for a great devotion and worship time and Oak
Grove who built and delivered the start gate and to each outpost that spent
quality time working with hands on skills with their boys to keep the boys well
rounded in all the ways they grow. We were very impressed with Samon from
Billings a EMT who is only 19 years of age whom was very professional in his
First Aid Treatments and advice. "Crash" was very thankful as well... please
relay the thanks to Samon.

The fellowship was a good witness and was told so.
