*Continue'n on...

(*the hobo weezed.... as he stired the fire.. the embers glow, highlight'n his
grizzled chin)

The '16 Hobie Cat is one fast rig.. and fairly complicated to set up if'n yur
in total-----
IGNORANCE!<G> *Not knowing a 'thang, is a honest condition for man or boy..
and a wise Ranger... knows how to self-educate, find information, read and
research
a skill out. While in the moment.. a foolish feeling comes- it soon flies
away when
a plan arrives! *Thus- Plan yur work.. and then Work yur Plan!

We wanted very much to sail the new boat... *and nothing much was stop'n us-
But.. *I'm proud we didn't get into a bad situation, "over our head"<G>

*However, we gave it a good shot.. Lake Tahoe is BIG WATER and
purty as a picture.. tho a bit dry and rock barren to the eyes of this NW
pilgrim..

Last gabber- had us loung'n on a sunny beach.. Over a mile high in the Sierra
Nevada,
and frankly- *You can keep everything east of the Contenental divide, blow it
to bits
burn it down, sell it off cheap or sink it as you wish. I know where this
tired Ranger belongs.

I an't no kind of flatlander<G>

*Suddenly! *I heard a crash on the hyway! ..a crash that I'm now tell'n you...
We saw in the distance the sceen of distruction.. For sumbody's life was now
thru!

*Their SOUL had been called by the master, they died in the glass where they
lay-
*perhaps..wiskeyand blood run togather- But I didn't hear anyone pray...<G>

Be that, as it may-
It shut down the hyway completely and traffic backed up to a stop.

Plan "A#1" had us due for the BIG BUFFET at the stateline casino... but we
couldn't move. The SUN began to set and I needed to check out the lights on
the trailer..
As I wiggled and checked the electrics.. a short occured and we blew out the
Isuzu troopers
fuses! NO LIGHTS!!!

Twilight passed and it became dark.. GMA #3911 had a distant look of wonder at
the situation..

What will.. we do? Cave Rock is a Nevada State park day use only... But,
amazeingly the
Park ranger came over to check on us and suggested that: "Why don't you just
pull over there
and spend the night?"

*"You sure??" said GMA33911...

"No problem ahh 'Tall.." said the silver state employee<G>

The ramble'n hobo Ranger took him up on theoffer.. and roosted for the night..
and what
a fine night it was. The Hobie Cat has a 6'+ trampoline and makes for
excellent sleeping!

We spread out the thermo rest pads, down sleep'n bags and laid back to watch
the stars
and the glow of lights around the huge high sierra lake. As we slept in peace
and safety,
all things sorted themselves out and we got up and left of a great brunch
buffet in town.

We agreed to drive around to the north side of the big lake and go over the
top, and down
to Reno.. All my lifetime I had "heard" of a great collection of automobiles
owned by
Bill Harrah casino owner, but had never found the barn<G>

Saturday morn. we did! *We found a fantastic collection of vintage cars in a
remarkible
setting called the "National Car museuem"... just beside the Truckee river-

*Then it HAPPENED!

(more tocome)
