I like this feature and I have it installed but the imagry is so old an out of date. The images I was looking at are over 5 years old. I understand the need to have it that way because of National Security but still , my house is 5 years old and it doesn't even show up yet.

Actually the initial satellite capabilities in the late 1960s-early 1970s enabled Intelligence gatherers to literally read a newspaper over someone's shoulder from space. The KH-11 and -12 birds launched (Link: http://www.fas.org/spp/military/program/imint/kh-12.htm ) have a better capability than normally advertised, and the scuttlebutt from Jane's and other high-end Defence publications hint at see-through-buildings capability, though this is all speculation

Well I don't like to brag but I also have extensive experience with M1 Tank Platoon and Steel Beasts. Plus I once read a book about German Panzer Aces. - Harold Jones, TankNet Military Forums

Many of you may already have been to this site but felt it was a neat thing to get out there in Ranger Land. This allows you to zoom in on the U.S.A. Just put in the City,State and it takes your for a ride to it from a satilite's view. I can see my work shop shed and a marshall's tree house as a blurry white square behind my house.

It's pretty cool. It's amazing what men's minds can come up with. I wish I had a look at what Uncle Sam has that is live and can read a quarter on the ground. "So the urban rummor has it"
