We must have separation from Church and State. We must have separation from Rangers and Politics We must have separation from the world.
Do I believe that? Nope. Here is why. In this case what would Jesus do? He didn't really have a problem with the politicis of the day. He mainly had issues with religious leaders. In my opinion we should as Royal Rangers discuss the issues. We should involve our beliefs with our politics. We should be in this world but not be the world. As a past Jehovah's Witness they do not vote. They do not bear arms, They do not pledge alligiance to the flag. They in essence are passifist. God has called us to be movers and shakers. We do need to make a stand on right and wrong. We do need to test what others say. Even if he/she is a bonified Pastor if it doesn't line up to God's word pitch it, hit the delete key and go on. The failure to discuss issues ends up with no relationship. Take your spouce for example. If you quit caring what your spouce thinks then it won't belong until your no longer married. It's important as Christians to treat everyone with respect and love. It is a commandment of God. This doesn't mean we are to roll over and play dead everytime someone says something we don't agree with. However we must respond with kindness and love. I can tell you, you don't know what your talking about and be kind doing it. Doesn't mean I am right or wrong but its important for us to share what we think. Rangernet has become a husk of what it was because we yes I too have allowed this "Keep your trap shut if you don't agree with what I believe" to grow and kill thought and sharing. Its important to know what we beleive and why we believe what we do. One way of learning and sharpening what we know is by opposition, hard times, rough encounters. God often allows these things to happen to us to make us more like Him. Until we learn and we become Christ like in these situations we will most likely go through them again and again. This seems to be God's plan for fallen man. I would rather have JenEd and A#1 getting up on a stump and preaching on what they feel is important than to have a old dead stump sitting there with no one with enough care to get up there and beller for a while. Rangernet Folk. Let's get back to living and talking and sharing and realize we don't always have to be right. We do need to be heard and we do need it to be done kindly. If you see a post that comes accross your screen that absoluty just makes your face red....then delete it ask God for forgiveness and then after you have cooled off tell us what you think about it nicely! Pull up a rock and gather around this Rangernet Campfire and share what you think needs to be shared. Mark Jones _______________________________________________ The Golden Rule is my daily rule.
