When a King hold's title to the Oil based treasury, he does not need the people to agree with him or to "vote" him authority. He can issue top -down laws.. develop authoritarian military rule. Islam seemes to model this form of government well.. *Independent thought and critical thinking is "foriegn Influence".. thus something to fear. Democracy is different. It's "Power" and authority comes from the consent of the governed.. *Like the Patrol system in Royal Rangers... not just..
