I give credit where credit is due. If he went camping and did the requirements of the merit that is all that is required.

In some cases I get a written note from his scoutmaster that he completed some of these things.

Subject: [RR] question about camping merit

We have a boy who is in Boy Scouts as well as Rangers. Should he be given
credit for nights spend camping with the scouts to go towards the camping
merit?
