Sorry this response is so late. My best human friend is a guy I've known for about 14 years. When I look at your list below, I realize that fulfill both sides of your sentences at different times. For example: We both sometimes ignore the faults of the other, but offer Biblically based exhortations to each other when needed. We challenge each other while also being incredibly encouraging to each other. This is the mark of true friendship. I think you can find examples of this in the life of Jesus also.
