Talk about haveing trouble finding a Ranger outpost alive in SW Washington
and *I'm right with you. OP 207 Glad Tidings Church was a top-knotch
chartered
unit, active in local,section and district events. Lower Columbia section
had never
had a GMA and OP207 and OP354 produced 6 in that "season".
Glad Tidings Church grew and built a 7 million dollar campus on 40 clear
acres in
the east portion of the fastest growing town in Washington state. The
demise of
Royal Rangers in the area is tragic.. and very distressing. I was involved
is a great
Outpost and cause.. and the Lord cared for us and provided my family a safe
harbor
and fellowship among kindred belevers in BSA Scouting.. *But the loss is
personal.
Among the friends and fellow Rangers, the demise came as a surprise and was
not
the fault or desire of any involved. It followed closely on the re-writeing
of the program
and was the will of pastoral leadership and vision.
Abide in peace, and God's will be done.

Royal Rangers is a wonderful ministry that is alive, well, and, in many
states and countries, very strong. You can help your local outpost become
strong by allowing you son to participate in as many activities as
possible and by volunteering yourself to help in whatever capacity you
can.
