Why are you involved in Royal Rangers?

I think that sometimes, to combat discouragement, it helps to review why
we do what we do. I first got involved in Royal Rangers when my sons
were old enough to join what was then called Straight Arrows. It was a
good thing to do at church with my sons. I also saw it as a way to give
them some of the benefits I got as a boy in Boy Scouts (which is what
met at the church I grew up in). I soon realized that it was a marvelous
opportunity to win boys for Jesus Christ and help them grow in the Lord,
not just in the mission statement goals of the organization, but in
reality. Praise God! What beats having a boy pray with you to receive
Jesus Christ?

Jesus loves children. Children's ministry is not second-rate ministry.
It is our first and best ministry, and statistically the most effective.

It is also fun-- especially for those of us who have a bit of child left
in us. :-)
