JICE JDS SCHOLARSHIP The Government of the Republic of Indonesia established the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) by the assistance of the Government of Japan in 2002. This year 30 scholarships will be offered for Government officials to study in Japan to take Master Degree for commencement in 2003-2004 Field of studies : - Law - Public administration - Economics - Business administration - International relations - Information technology (telecommunication) Application requirements : - Citizens of Indonesia, younger than 35 years old as of April 1st 2003 - Government officials / local government officials / teacher of state universities - 2 years or more working experience at the time of application (3 years or more for MBA applicants) - Must hold a Bachelor Degree (S-1) (Bachelor in Law is necessary for Law applicants) - International or Institutional TOEFL Score 530 (CBT 197) or more (IELTS score 6.0 or more) - Applicants who passed the 3rd selection must participate pre-departure English training in Jakarta for about 2 months Selection procedures : First selection : examining application documents on middle of February to middle of March 2003 at universities in Japan to cooperate with JDS. Second selection : first interview on late March 2003 in Jakarta. Third selection :second interview and medical examination on late March 2003 in Jakarta.
