Sampoerna Foundation Scholarship 2004 Sampoerna Foundation grants outstanding young Indonesians with scholarships to pursue postgraduate studies in management or business in Sampoerna Foundation fellow universities. The scholarship would cover tuition fee, basic living cost, books and research allowances during the period of study.
Currently, the Foundation offers funding for potential candidates to undertake tertiary studies in Business and Management related studies at undergraduate (local) and postgraduate (both local and overseas) levels, for Academic Year of 2003/2004. For local programs, 20 (twenty) scholarship will be available for scholarship awardees to undertake S1-Manajemen at one of the following tertiary institutions: University of Indonesia, Padjadjaran University, Gadjah Mada University and Airlangga University. Furthermore, the Foundation also offers 30 (thirty) local postgraduate scholarships for Magister Management (MM) and Magister of Science in Management studies. Successful applicants should undertake their postgraduate degree at one of the following recommended business schools: University of Indonesia, Padjadjaran University, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, Bandung Institute of Technology and Institut Pengembangan Manajemen Indonesia (IPMI)/Indonesian Institute for Management Development). The Foundation also provides prestigious scholarships to undertake MBA studies at leading U.S. business schools. Postgraduate scholarship programs are available for all first-degree graduates from state or private universities in Indonesia. Those who hold undergraduate degree (equal with S-1) from overseas institutions, a postgraduate degree, academic researchers, or lecturers who neither have, nor wish to aspire their career in a management position should not apply. Recipients of the scholarship will be announced by mid November 2003, while the deadline for the scholarship application registration will be on 1 September 2003. Sampoerna Foundation has been established to provide education opportunities for talented young Indonesians to reach their full potential as future leaders of Indonesia. The singleminded focus of the Foundation is to offer 100 per cent free secondary and tertiary education opportunities to outstanding but financially disadvantage individuals on an annual basis. It is a non-bound scholarship program. All of Sampoerna Foundation scholarship holders are not required to have full-time employment during the entire period of their scholarship program. Yet the Foundation stresses all scholars to give contribution to their community by becoming excellence professionals with basic values and ethics for life.
