Two thousand bamboo houses for West Sumatera

There are thousand of heavily damaged houses due to the West Sumatera 
earthquake struck on last Wednesday. PMI helps people in the location to make 
them return to their regular activities immediately after an occurrence of 
natural disaster. The temporary housing program also becoming an important 
target to be realized in West Sumatera earthquake area, considering there are 
thousands of people that currently living in refugees tents.

Bamboo house has become one of PMI main concept for temporary residential 
program for earthquake victims relief. Sample of bamboo houses was finished on 
last Sunday afternoon (10/18), it is located inside the area of Bung Hatta 
University, Padang city.
