Following reports of the detection of Parahydroxy Benzoates in Indomie instant noodles in Taiwan, the AVA has, as a precautionary measure, taken samples of the noodles for further investigation. Test results thus far showed that Para-hydroxy Benzoates are not detected in the Indomie instant noodles in Singapore. Para-hyroxy Benzoates is a chemical preservative that is not allowed in instantnoodles under Singapore's food regulations.
