That's why I'm thinking of dropping my own custom python script and using rapid-photo-importer instead :-) Your website is quite convincing and the code looks nice. I have a card reader, it's just kept in my camera bag and my PC already has a USB cable that I use for other devices. I might start to use cards then... I'm finding that my Gnome(ish) environment doesn't automatically mount the card. I always tried to DISABLE that type of thing on this desktop over the last many years, but I'm relenting now so I'll have to find how I stopped it... My Gnome panel does show a mount button when I insert the card, but it's not *auto*mounted even though gconf-editor suggests it should be. I don't run Nautilus, and maybe it's Nautilus who would do that mounting. Anyway, that's more my problem: My questions related to rapid-photo-downloader: How do you then import into Bibble 5? Do you manually launch it, and use the File->Import and navigate to your download location yourself? It doesn't appear to take any command line arguments. After I've sorted this out, I'm going to be trying to find a good Batch Output system to send photos to flickr, and more hopefully, to CostCo who I use for printing :-) > There are no reliable python bindings for gphoto2. I found similar opinions from a quick search around.
