Fedora / Korora need PyQt5 installed from Pypi because otherwise whenever the program exits, it always segfaults. Which is not good. When I last looked, there appears to be a problem with the PyQt5 package in the Fedora repositories, but I was unable to determine the cause of it because I was not able to installed the debug packages for Python on Fedora.
It might be that you have a permissions problem under ~/.local, with some directories owned by root. I've seen that with some other users. Try the latest install script, which fixes the problem.
