Making public_html worked. The URLs for the images are
https://people.apache.org/~mpierce/rave1.png and
https://people.apache.org/~mpierce/rave2.png

(not expressing a comparative opinion to other logos just yet, merely making comments about these to help those still working on versions)

Of these two I prefer the second (with drop shadow)

I particularly like the RAVE "font" used. I think it would work really well where we have space and/or colour limitations as we could use it without the white label and feather and it would still be recognisable.

Sorry about the delay--long travel day.

Hmm, I get a 404 error for https://people.apache.org/~mpierce, but I can
log into people.apache.org with that user name. And ~rgardler works.
Did I forget to do something?

It's a long time since I set mine up. Perhaps you need to create your
public_html directoy?

I see no attachment, the list may have stripped it. Probably best to put
in SVN or your space at http://people.apache.org/~APACHEID

To access your people.apache.org space simply login using your APACHEID
and password. You'll find all the expected services (like SCP)

I asked Barbara Hallock here to take a shot at revising the "white
label" logo. See attached (#2 has drop shadow for feather). Any
thoughts on this? We can iterate, and Barbara is also willing to do
something complete different.
