I have performed a mvn -P apache-release release:perform successfully, but
the artifacts for the Rave master are not in the staging repository. Any
hints from the maven/nexus crowd?

You can see the staging repository, but only when you login on repository.apache.org. On the left-side you then get a "Build Promotion" menu with a "Staging Repositories" entry. If you click that, you'll see a org.apache.rave-037 entry, owned by user mfranklin :)

If you select that, you can check and verify the contents in the bottom detail panel. If you think its OK (and I think it is), only *you* (mfranklin) can then close this staging repository (right-click menu popup AFAIK) and thereby making this repository publically accessible, which will be at [1].

Now that my Nexus permissions are resolved, I am preparing to push the
Rave Master release through the first part of the release process. Before
I do, it would be good to get everyone to update the pom with their
metadata.

A mentor can correct me if I am wrong, but I think initial committers have
the roles of committer and PPMC member.

I will initiate the release by 12:00 PM EST today, so if you don't get
your metadata in, we can do another release of the master after 0.1 of the
rave-project goes out.
