Zhenhua (Gerald) Guo commented on RAVE-55:
------------------------------------------
@Matt
Yes, that's also what I think.
What I mean in my original comment can be demonstrated by following scenario.
In following description, to maximize a gadget means that a gadget is switched
to canvas view.
1) a user maximizes gadget A. A will occupy the whole space.
2) the user maximizes gadget B. B will occupy the whole space. A is hidden.
3) the user restores gadget B. B is restored to home view. The UI can be in
two states (we need to choose one of them):
- Gadget A is displayed in canvas view. This implies that history of gadget
maximization is remembered as a "stack".
- All gadgets are in home view. When a gadget is maximized, all other
gadgets are restored to home view automatically.
> Support canvas-default views for naturally large gadgets/widgets

> Would be nice to allow gadgets to specify that they should always be
> displayed in canvas mode. This is useful for gadgets that need a lot of
> screen real estate to be useful.
