If you build only 1 submodule, you will still get the existing artefacts of
the sibling modules unless they have been published to a snapshot repository
after committing changes (which will probably not be the case). So after an
"svn up" it's best to rebuild the project from the root.

I just did a clean checkout, built it against an empty Maven repository
(-Dmaven.repo.local=/tmp/rave) and it runs fine. No rpc errors and the
gadgets render fine. Adding/removing gadgets is no problem either.
