We can offer a Bounty of $4000 to add this feature to the portal in a
sustainable way - e.g. submitted and accepted into the project codebase. We
would execute the bounty via eLance. (If this is inappropriate to propose -
please let me know.)
Background:
We want to be able to deploy a portal for an entire project team such that it
will show the same set of Gadgets to everyone. Right now the portal is
personalized which is great, but in some cases, we want to setup a dashboard of
gadgets that everyone in the project will see. We plan to deploy this inside
Sharepoint or other websites in our intranet.
We can restrict access via the website or Sharepoint site (e.g. embedding it in
an iFrame in Sharepoint) - though having group authenticated access to a shared
Dashboard would be useful.
I'm not sure what the best way to add this feature. As long as someone can set
up a gadget portal with Gadgets already laid out and then 'lock' it for other
users, that will take care of our use case. We can set up a separate user
account for this purpose so there aren't any OAUTH issues with personal logins.
