Okay, how does this sound?

- When adding a photo to batch queue, a mark (probably a "B") is added, like the exported mark, to the thumbnail.
An "B"-icon is a bad idea, that would only make sense for english
locale.
Correct, we need a Icon that "says" batch in all languages :)

My first thought was a grey star - but I believe we should choose
something that is really recognizable.

A grey star might accually work...
- When the image has been processed, the batch mark is replaced by exported mark.
How would an already exported image appear if added to batch?
With both exported and batch icons. The batch is only temporary, so i don't think it's gonna be a problem with lots of icons in the thumbnail... But i don't know how we should handle, that a photo can be added to batch 3 times (A, B and C settings)...

Oh, sorry, my bad. I got the impression that the "exported" and the
"batched" icon would be in the same spot.

My thoughts were like:
- If photo hasn't been exported, place batch icon where export icon normally is.
- If photo has been exported, place batch icon next to export icon.
I suggest that we simply ignore that a photo can be added multiple times
with different settings.

Well, I don't think we can ignore it. If a photo has been added 3 times, the batch mark shouldn't be removed after one photo has been processed...or should it? To me it only seems like it could matter, if the batch processing is stopped halfway through...
