No, what I mean is that a binary will be dependent on being *run* on a
Perl version at least as new as that it was compiled for. (i.e. you
can't take an XS module compiled against 5.8.0 and run it on 5.6.1.)

There aren't any dependencies at the source level, so I guess the source
RPM would work; but the binary RPM should require the version of Perl in
use on the system where it was compiled.
