Hi,

I am interested in knowing how does Razor search for
similar nilsimsa codes in the nilsimsa code database.
Does is use any proximity search methods?

Nilsimsa is currently NOT used by razor, because it's got problems with collisions that are unresolved.

If you need more information about it, you can look at the sourcecode for the Digest::Nilsimsa package.

From looking at the source, it seems to be based on generating a histogram of counts of trigraphs, and then squashing that down into a 256 bit vecor.
