Great idea! I can use a pause with a gauge, at least that way they won't think
it's locked up. I really prefer a way to show them the progress of the
autocheck/reload while it's being run, so maybe I'll ask them if they're
willing to run an external program from the R> prompt, or whether they want it
from within the menu.

Thanks for the idea!

Karen

Betreff: [RBASE-L] - RSHOW/RHIDE in RBase X

In previous versions, I would have a menu option to perform database
maintenance (autocheck / reload). The option would typically close the main
menu, do an RSHOW, SET MESS ON, then an "autochk...full". The user could then
see the progress on the R> prompt screen.

In RBase X, I get a full R> prompt screen but it is pure white with no messages
showing (attached is what it looks like). Does anyone know if RSHOW is meant
to work in RBase X, or does anyone have a different way of showing these long
processes on the screen so the user doesn't think it's locked up and do a
reboot?
