Great idea! I can use a pause with a gauge, at least that way they won't think it's locked up. I really prefer a way to show them the progress of the autocheck/reload while it's being run, so maybe I'll ask them if they're willing to run an external program from the R> prompt, or whether they want it from within the menu.

Does anyone know if RSHOW is meant to work in RBase X, or does anyone have a different way of showing these long processes on the screen so the user doesn't think it's locked up and do a reboot?
