I have an trigger update before on a table. I attempted to change a value, but the value was not changing. What the heck ??? I tried again. I tried setting the column to NULL. No go. It just would not update to the new value!
Then I checked the trigger -- and I had not added that column to the list of columns the trigger was looking at for changes, and none of the other columns changed so "ABORT TRIGGER"
