Perfect. Our PCs open the 95 version of XLS but some of our handheld devices
were much pickier about opening an XLS file.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: Printing to an XLS 97/2003 file format

Dear Bill,

Please use the new "XLS2003" option for the PRINT command, which was recently
added to R:BASE X and R:BASE X Enterprise.

PRINT excelout16 WHERE trial = '168601' AND sample = 1 ORDER BY plotnum +
  OPTION xls2003 | FILENAME Testing.xls | OPEN ON

I am trying to print to an Excel file. This seems to work ok, but it comes out
in Excel 95 format which one of our electronic devices doesn't like. We would
like to have the file as an Excel 97/2003 format which is also an XLS
extension. Is there another option that allows for the different format?

PRINT excelout16 WHERE trial = '168601' AND sample = 1 ORDER BY plotnum +
OPTION xls | FILENAME Testing.xls | OPEN ON

Thanks for any suggestions.
