Yep, it was a GOOD thread, wasn't it? I make it a habit of replacing my laptop
(my main computer) every 5 years, and will get whatever is the current OS.
Sometimes I adjust the timing to make sure the current OS has been around
for a little while, I don't want to beta test windows! And I keep the old
laptop
around as my backup. But this is the first time that I've ever had a laptop
not
make the 5 year threshold (missed it by 6 months), and I won't have my other
laptop as a backup! I enjoy leisurely migrating over to a new laptop. I'm NOT
liking this panic -- "OMG I hate working on my old backup"

Subject: [RBASE-L] - new computer

I appreciate this thread on the computer because I know I will soon have to get
a new laptop.
Mine is a 2010 HP and I am sure one of these days I will be seeking a new
computer.
I saved this thread and will use it to guide me since I know nothing about
hardware.
I am basically a RBASE man and not much else.
Thanks again for the info.
