Not only for command files, the enhanced editor preserves the
consistency of delimited and fixed-length field data files as well.
This is very important because once ANSI and UTF-8 encoded data are
mixed in a text file the data can never be decoded properly.

Tip of the Day: New R:BASE Editor File Encoding Options
Product.......: R:BASE X/X Enterprise (Version 10)
Build.........: 10.0.2.11130 or higher
Section.......: R:BASE Editor
Keywords......: File Encoding, ANSI, UTF-8, Unicode
Did you know the R:BASE Editor was recently enhanced to set/preserve
the file encoding (ANSI, UTF-8, Unicode) of loaded command files?
From the main menu bar, select "File" > "Encoding"
Also when selecting to save a new command file, an "Encoding" option
is available within the "Save As" dialog to select the file encoding method.
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
