This depends on what your DATE CENTURY is set to.

If it is set to 19 then two-digit year entered between 00 and 29 it would
use 20 otherwise it will use 19 (30 -99)

If you enter a 4 digit year it will show your actual 4 digit year.

  For example

SET VAR v1 DATE = 01/01/2085 it will keep the 2085

R>SHO DATE

DATE format MM/DD/YYYY

DATE sequence MMDDYY

Century threshold YEAR is 30

Default CENTURY is 19

R>SET VAR V1 = 01/01/30

R>SHO VAR V1

01/01/1930

R>SET VAR V1 = 01/01/29

R>SHO VAR V1

01/01/2029

R>SHO VAR V1

01/01/2029

R>SET VAR V1 = 01/01/32

R>SHO VAR V1

01/01/1932

R>SET VAR V1 = 01/01/15

R>SHO VAR V1

01/01/2015

Hope this helps.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Century Threshold

Can someone explain how this works? I thought years < 30 would show 20 as the
century.
