Tom, Shot in the dark. There have been a couple of times that after an update, major weirdness happened in a couple of my forms. I restored the forms from a backup and everything was fine again.
I suggest just recreate your form since it sounds simple enough. Also going over some of your previous questions, I have never tried the batch compile so I don't know if something else is happening. Do your other projects work as expected after they were re-compiled after the update? Do you compile including the engine? If not, is there an engine mismatch? Many things to look at.
