I always leave mine on. I do not notice a difference In performance when in the db explorer.

Since I keep my application files in a separate folder for each application, I can have this on for my explorer settings and off for the applications. I knew it was something simple. I have been trying to get all my settings back to what they were on the other computer but missed some. Disabling this option within an application will improve the performance. Now When in the explorer mode, any changes I make (like comments on table) or form changes changing the version number, do not show until I get out then back into another session. I tried reading up on all the settings to figure which setting I need to change. What setting do I need to change for the changes to take immediately?
